A brief history

Setup in 1995 with a family inheritance as an unpaid hobby because of the DJs love of music. Dragonfly Discos Derby started as a young DJ with the desire and ability to make people smile and enjoy themselves.

Over time interest has grown but the small family buisness ethics have remained and the 100% commitment to customer care is still very much our main priority.

We now boast multiple show options and only top quality disco lighting, coupleing these with our awesome powerful crystal clear disco sound system, and huge catalogue of MP3 based music both past, present and a little future in the form of pre-release material.

We have worked some of the East Midlands top venues and supported artists such as Domonic Brister as seen on "The Paul 0 Grady show" and 70s disco legends Boney M. The mail order brides and the Temptations. Also we have entertained such people as ex paralympic gold medallist Peter Hull MBE and acclaimed British artist Alison Lapper. 

All bookings are confirmed in writing and we are happy to arrange a meeting if you wish to discuss your event face to face beforehand.We are a full time set up and thus see your satisfaction and the enjoyment of your guests as the key to another successful 10 years entertaining.From young DJ with ambition Dragonfly Discos Derby is now creating magical evenings to remember week in week out.
